Support South High Music on Give to the Max Day
Your support matters! With the impacts of budget cuts on our music program, it is more important than ever that we all come together to support these important programs for our kids. The last couple years have been particularly challenging for fundraising as many performances were put on hold due to Covid. However, we have a unique opportunity to double donations this year due to the very generous support of a former South High school teacher who has offered to match donations up to a total of $12,000! Support the Booster Club by donating through our website or through our page on GiveMN for Give to the Max Day, now through November 17. Wondering how much to donate? Any amount is a big help as it will be matched dollar for dollar. Share the link with friends and family and ask them to donate as well!
All money raised will help fund a visiting instructor in jazz band, scholarships for tours, visiting guest artists, the repair of used instruments, and allow for the purchase of new instruments. Thanks in part to the support of donors like you through the years, South High is home to a vibrant music program.
This program is dedicated to providing rewarding music opportunities for students with a wide variety of interests and backgrounds. South supports six bands, three orchestras, five choirs, guitar, voice, and piano classes. More than 500 students are served by the program each year. Many of these students would not be involved in music if entry-level guitar, piano, singing, and instrumental classes were not offered.
